Progress and Prints

A long awaited project wrapped up this week, plus a preorder link!

Hi my beautiful friends!

If you’re new here, it’s most likely because I met you at the Georgia Indie Book Faire. It was so much fun chatting and meeting new readers while making new friends. I talked their ears off, but no one seemed to mind too much :)

One of the things that I was obsessively talking about was my blackout poetry/collage project and YOUR GIRL FINALLY FINISHED IT!

Seventy panels and two plus years later, this project went from a procrastination project to a full blown love story that spans forty years.

It’s wild to think what one afternoon of “wasted” time ended up becoming.

Here I am attempting to explain this bizarre idea I had to my friend on a girls’ trip to the cabin in May of 2023.

Then a year and some change later, I made a huge mess at her cabin working on this project in October of 2024.

Not only is Jess one of my dearest friends, but she has been a champion of this project since day one.

So what’s next?

After scanning everything into my computer, I’ve compiled it into one document with each blackout typed out beneath the image for ease of reading, and I’m going to shop it around to some indie presses. If someone is interested, cool. If not, I will be getting this book into y’all’s hands one way or another.

I’ve been talking about this on my socials, so if you follow me on fb, ig, or tiktok, it may be old news, but I’ve made prints of some of my more popular poems for Mother’s Day. Preorders start TODAY, and y’all are getting the link hours before everyone else because y’all have signed up for these love letters :)
